Tolle Lege Title Page
Posted by J.S. Lewis in Tolle Lege on June 28th, 2008
Hey Everyone,
I have spent the last few hours working on this prototype front page for the Tolle Lege journal. All of the symbols, circles and triangles will mean something eventually, but for now they are justĀ cool.
I bet your wondering what medium this story is going to be put into, I’m currently not sure, but I will keep you up to date. Note: Click on the image to get all of the detail, it’s huge.
Yours,
Jack

Second Day of College
Posted by J.S. Lewis in College, Writing on June 26th, 2008
So today was the second day at PC, well maybe not truly the second day. Technically I took a math class during the summer two years ago, but this is my second day of going to college for the next five years. My English teacher is the coolest teacher I have ever had. HE LOOKS LIKE GEORGE LUCAS! If that isn’t cool what is? Not only that, he teaches script writing and next year he is starting a film making class. It feels so good to finally be going to college, the maturity level is so much higher.
Today we finished a pretest and talked about what we like and dislike about English. I know that sounds like it wouldn’t be a real English class, but it’s just the second day, thus there is necessary introduction required.
Yours,
Jack
Peninsula College
Posted by J.S. Lewis in College, Writing on June 24th, 2008
Write now, even as I type, I am sitting in the cafeteria of Peninsula College. I just finished my first assignment for my first real English class. What’s so great about my English teacher this quarter is that he truly teaches English. There are things that we will be learning that are extremely fundamental, but never touched upon in High School, the place where you are supposed to be learning these things. It’s great to finally be learning things for a change.
In answer to the question I left at the end of my last post:
C.S. Lewis, the great writer I was named after, would always sign his letters “Yours, Jack” and recently Several of his letters has been compiled into one book titled Yours, Jack. For those of you who don’t know, he always went by the name Jack.
Yours,
Jack
PS:
I will post several pictures of Peninsula college
in the next few days.
Peninsula College on the Morrow
Posted by J.S. Lewis in College, Tolle Lege on June 24th, 2008
Today I was given the information that my college career starts tomorrow! I thought it was to begin a week from Wednesday. This leaves me at a loss for time, for I had other duties to accomplish before this era of my life would begin. So what then am I to do? My English class is only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so this does leave me time to do these other things. What “other things”? As I mentioned in my last two posts, I have a potential project on the rise, Tolle Lege (pronounced Tole-la ledge). Soon you shall see what medium this idea will be put into, as for now it is undecided.
Yours,
Jack
PS:
Why do I always sign “Yours, Jack” at the
end of my posts? Tune in tomorrow to find out
BWP (Blog Writing Program)
Posted by J.S. Lewis in College, Film, Random, Tolle Lege, Writing on June 23rd, 2008
I really don’t think that BWP is an actual acronym, but the point of this post is to test out the new program from windows live called “Windows Live Writer” which enables you to write your blog post without going to your blog. So far I’m not sure that I’m sold on this yet, but I’m going to give it a try for a while.
College
My journey at PC starts in a week and three days. It’s going to be great to finally start learning. My class is three days a week in the summer, this leaves time for me to focus on other things, things such as the idea I had for the book I mentioned last time titled “Tolle Lege”.
Here is what the leather journal would look like:![]()
